Record your meetings without adding a bot
PolarParrot is a Mac app that records your meetings and writes up the notes for you. Then your AI can read every one of them.
3 free meetings of up to 1 hour, no card. For macOS 26.

The problem
Nobody wants a bot in their meeting
Plenty of tools add one more participant to the call. Everyone sees it, and sometimes it gets kicked out. PolarParrot records from your Mac, so nobody joins.
Notes bot
How it goes
Press record, then Stop when you're done
Hit record
From the parrot in your menu bar. It's up to you to tell the others.
Just talk
It records your mic and your Mac's audio separately, on Teams, Meet or Zoom.
Press Stop
You get the notes: what was decided, who does what and what's still unclear.
The notes
Press Stop and you get the notes
They come with the actions and, if it came up, who owns each one. If something wasn't clear, it asks you a question to clear it up.
- Copy the notes or download them as Markdown.
- Ask your AI to search what was said.
- Take screenshots of whatever gets shared.

In one line
December rates drop 8% and January stays as it is until we see occupancy on the 15th.
Actions
- Load the new December rate · Javier
- Send the occupancy report on the 15th · Marta
- Tell the agencies about the change
Decisions
- December drops 8%.
- January stays until the 15th.
One question to tidy this up1 of 2
Is the 8% off the public rate or the agency rate?
Two tracks
Your voice and the others' go on separate tracks
With headphones, your mic and your Mac's audio go on two tracks, so the notes know what you said and what the others said. Without them, your mic picks up the others too and it's harder to tell who said what.
- YouShall we lower December's rate?
- Everyone elseBy 8%, and we'll look at January on the 15th.
- YouDone. Javier, can you load it?

How to connect itWhat's still open from the rates meeting?
Reading your meetings
Three things: Javier loads the new December rate, Marta sends the occupancy report on the 15th, and nobody has been named yet to tell the agencies.

If something goes wrong
The recording keeps going
It only stops if your disk fills up or you stop it.
No wifi
It keeps recording. The audio stays on your Mac and uploads when you're back online.
Switching headphones
Moving your earbuds to another device doesn't stop the recording.
If the others go quiet
If you're talking and they can't be heard, it warns you and tries to reconnect. They don't always come back.
If the app closes
In the download version it reopens by itself and carries on with the same meeting.
Your data
The audio is deleted once the notes are ready
That's the default. If a free meeting runs past an hour, the rest is kept for 30 days. The notes are yours: delete them whenever you like, on your Mac and on the server. No ads, and we don't sell data.
Privacy policyWorks with Teams, Google Meet, Zoom and WhatsApp
FaceTime is the exception: macOS only lets it record your voice. If the others stop being heard on a call, the app warns you and tries to reconnect.
Questions
Will people in the meeting know?
Nobody joins the call, so nobody sees anything. You have to tell them yourself and, where the law asks for it, get their consent. The app reminds you during setup and while you record.
Do I have to switch video call apps?
No. PolarParrot records your Mac's audio, so you keep using the one you have.
What happens to the audio?
It's uploaded to make the notes and deleted once they're ready. To keep it, turn off 'Delete the audio when done' in Settings.
Does it work on Windows or on a phone?
No. It's a Mac app for macOS 26 or later.
Record your next meeting
Download PolarParrot and run a five-second test. It checks your mic and your Mac's audio before you record anything for real.
