# PolarParrot for Windows

Record your microphone and your PC's audio without adding a bot to the meeting. When you stop, PolarParrot writes the notes in your account.

Activate the free trial on a Mac. To record on Windows, you need an account with available hours or an active plan.

For Windows 10 and 11. The installer is not digitally signed.

Windows version x64 (Intel and AMD) ARM64 x64 is the usual choice. Choose ARM64 only if your PC runs Windows on ARM. Check Settings > System > About > System type if you are unsure.

## The Windows warning

This installer is not signed. Microsoft Defender SmartScreen may show “Windows protected your PC” and an unknown publisher.

1. Check that you downloaded the installer from polarparrot.com.
2. If you trust the source and want to install it, select “More info”, then “Run anyway”.
3. If your PC does not let you continue, ask its administrator. You do not need to switch off Windows protection.

## Your first meeting

1.

### Open the installer

Install PolarParrot and open the parrot in the system tray, next to the Windows clock.

2.

### Sign in

Use the same PolarParrot account as on your Mac. Your notes stay in the same account.

3.

### Press Record meeting

Press Stop when you finish. The audio uploads and your notes appear when they are ready.

The app downloads updates and waits until you finish recording before installing them.

The Mac version needs macOS 26 or later.
